Sebe Msutwana

Sebe is a Consulting Civil Engineer and Managing Director of Civil Projects Engineers. The firm undertakes the planning of civil infrastructure, building structures and railway related projects. Sebe has engineering experience spanning more than 25 years, and has been involved in technology transfer with overseas companies. Inno-Phemba's objectives of funding forward looking companies augers well with his commitment to our people's economic and technical empowerment.

Imran Mahomed

Imran qualified as an actuary in 2003. He is currently Head of Retail and Insurance for Momentum Africa. He has held various positions in the Momentum Group in the past, including heading up product development and being responsible for joint ventures. He holds a B. Sc. Honours degree from Wits and a higher diploma in management practice from UCT.

Hillie Meyer

Hillie retired as the CEO of the Momentum Group in September 2005. During his tenure at the helm of Momentum, the company grew premium income by 21% per annum on average, with asset growth of 27% per annum and profit growth of 29% per annum. He is acknowledged for his leadership qualities and strategic acumen. Hillie is an actuary by profession.

Morris Mthombeni

Morris is the newly appointed CEO of Momentum Group Business. Formerly the MD of asset management firm Advantage, a subsidiary of Momentum, he has over 16 years experience in the financial services industry, including time at insurer Liberty Life. He joined mCubed Asset Management in 2001 when he was seconded to a joint venture between it and various unions. He holds BJuris, BProc and LLB degrees from Unisa as well as an MBA from Manchester Business School.

Corporate Solutions

Corporate Solutions was founded in 1997 and has a team of professionals based in Johannesburg. The main operating subsidiary is Exchange Sponsors, a company that is licensed as a sponsor and designated advisor with the JSE Limited.

Exchange Sponsors is an independent corporate advisor and its service offering includes stock exchange listings, capital raising, corporate restructuring and mergers and acquisitions. The Exchange Sponsors team has a proven track record and has an entrepreneurial culture that is service and solution driven. They have been responsible for a number of very successful listings on the Alternative Exchange of the JSE.

Marius Meyer has been designated by Corporate Solutions as the person responsible for Inno-Phemba. Marius is a CA (SA) with substantial business and corporate finance experience.

Nodus

Nodus was founded in March 2004 and is owner managed by partners David André, Ian Groenewald, Ockert Goosen and Ian Donovan.

The Nodus partners are supported by professional associates based at offices in Johannesburg and Cape Town. Nodus has two operating subsidiaries, Nodus Capital and Nodus Financial Technologies and an investment holding company, Nodus Equity Investments. Nodus' investment in Inno-Phemba will be managed by Nodus Capital.

Nodus Capital originates, structures and places debt and equity capital for the corporate market and aims to deliver its service offering, from deal initiation to execution, in an innovative and personalised manner, backed by teamwork. The skills and expertise within Nodus Capital are applied to: facilitate BEE ownership; identify, advise on and implement M&A and disposals; initiate and implement LBO and MBO transactions; facilitate and implement listings; determine and implement efficient capital structures; and raise capital and syndicate loans.

Nodus Capital views the creation of Inno-Phemba as an important and strategic initiative and has committed resources to ensure its success. David André has been tasked with the responsibility to ensure Nodus Capital's ongoing commitment and involvement in Inno-Phemba. David is a CA (SA) with extensive investment banking experience spanning more than 20 years.
